Some thoughts to keep in mind:

· A poor inspector or inspection may actually end up costing you more in the long run.

· Home ownership is expensive, so don’t cut corners by hiring the cheapest inspector, it may end up being a very time consuming and costly mistake.

· Anyone can call themselves home inspectors and charge you less than their competition. You should probably be suspicious of inspection fees that are less than $300.

· The benefits of having your home inspected by a professional home inspector will far outweigh the cost.
